FRESH START FOR A NEW SEASON SPRING AND SUMMER

Up until recently I have only been able to get out n about for the odd half hour here n there through work commitments, weather and illness.

I am back on form now and have worked out a way of managing my time to further and continue this site. A big thank you to all my viewers and those that have stuck with me.

Little Wren popped out to say hello.

WELCOME TO THE RIVER ELWY WILDLIFE BLOG.

About the River Elwy and this blog.

The River Elwy is a very scenic river full of wildlife throughout the year. Twisting and turning as it meanders from it's source at Llangernyw, through St Asaph City, to it's end where it enters the sea at Rhyl Harbor, having flowed through a number of villages and woods.

This blog is about the nature and wildlife  to be found along the rivers lower reaches namely from Trefnant through St Asaph to Ruddlan, and the wider surrounding area. It is also a place for me to showcase my photographs from my walks along the riverbanks. From time to time there will be pictures taken from other places and the location will be stated in the description.
