This past week I have been watching the Dippers who have already got themselves a young brood as you know from a previous post. I was lucky enough to get Mum n Dad together.
I have purposefully not taken pictures that reveal the location although you are bound to come across them fishing for grubs if your walking along the banks of the River. Goes without saying to keep your distance at this this very sensitive time. I was lucky enough to get the male and female together as I have found them enormously difficult to photograph.

Here are some photo's I took last week of some of the many Mallards, a nice picture of a couple together resting up. There are lots of these along the river so you would be unlucky not to see one even on a first visit.  There are of course other breeds of  the Duck family but will get to them later on.

Blue Tits are in abundance and always make a lovely picture. I love to watch there antics of hanging upside down.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over the last few weeks as I have walked along the banks I saw a large black Bird with a yellow beak, flying by along the water at what seemed a hundred miles an hour, blink and it was gone, thoughts did not have a chance to think camera.
I have seen it fly by now 4 times passing through the bridge at about 12 ish o clock. The last time it did land in the water briefly a few hundred yards up the river. I have never seen anything like it along the river before.
So I was wondering what it was so in comes the internet search , I finally identified it as a Cormorant.
I would love to get a picture of it. So watch this space.

If the wind does not calm down at some point today, chances are I may not make it to the river at all.
So It may end up being a garden bird day today, actually haven't done one for a while since the sparrows and starlings did a disappearing act on me well most of them to be fair.
Chances are they are brooding.

Well folks it was not much of a show, however I did have a fair bit to catch up with so was not at the window all day. Besides I feel a little off this afternoon.

Managed to get out n about for a hour. The weather has changed some so was a we bit cooler.
Today I have been sorting out my albums and adding some nice frames to pictures, so not a lot of  wildlife photography today. Here are a few of something different along the Riverbank.

Last two days I haven't managed to get out n about with the camera at all so here are a few views of the river I took a few days ago.
In a few months time when all the leaves are on the trees and the grasses ad plants have all grown , I will take photographs at the same locations so you can see how very different it looks.
