Another pretty cold and blowy morning but 30 minutes wrapped up warm  hovering around the Bridge. It
was just long enough not only for me to be out but to get some nice closeup shots of a sweet Grey Wagtail flitting back and forth from edge of the bank to the wall, who appeared to be collecting nesting material and taking it across the river. I have watched them doing this several times last week they have been very busy.
I can't believe it let me sit less than 6ft away from their activity so as I left I threw down a little seed as a reward.

Blending into the background quite well.

Came across this little treasure this afternoon.
Little Dormouse I came across on the footpath today. Totally unconcerned and chomping away on some food. Peculiar to see this so out in the open in the middle of the day, since they are nocturnal.

Ducks where splashing around a lot today.

Another view of the bridge ducks included.

Took up the offer of a run out today down to Pensarn Beech to pick up a few pebbles and came across this lovely Wheatear.

Also managed to capture some Gulls.

After a no show with the dippers today, (check the Dipper page o the side link.) I wet down stream where I spotted a Chaffinch acting more like the Pied Wagtail I also came across, never seen one act like that before.

Pied Wagtail.

A view of the River down stream near Gypsy Lane.

A Pair of Mallards having  rest on the Banks of the Elwy.

Jenny Wren
Wished she was looking this way.
